Hanging out with our new friend!

In August our friend Melissa and her new little man, Buddy, came to visit us. The twins weren't really sure what to make of him but Kiera's mothering nature kicked in whenever Buddy cried or his pacifier fell out.

Finally got that pacifier in.

Here are pictures to prove that Dylan and Kiera can play very well together.

A Boy and his Sippy Cup

Dylan has designed a new way to drink. Whether it is milk, juice or plain water he likes to hide it behind his much loved 'Banket'.

A New Toy

After spending MANY hours on Craig's List, we found a playset for the kids. Todd and my step-dad spent one very hot afternoon in July taking it apart in Ft. Worth then another morning put it all back together in our yard. The kids loved it, as you can see from the pictures. Dylan is into fixing things and was very excited to "help" put the playset together with his very own screwdriver. We have several pictures of Dylan right in the middle and climbing on Daddy and Pop-Pop to "help".

The whole gang helping. If you can't tell Dylan is helping with a big hammer!

Fashion Police - HELP!

Kiera is really into dressing herself right now. If she finds a pair of pants/shorts she will pull them on and she loves wearing hats. All day long she is putting socks on and off and shoes on and off. One interesting thing is that 90% of the time when she puts shoes on, she puts them on the correct foot! Don't know how she does it but Todd and I have both noticed this.

So in case you missed any of it, Kiera is wearing:

1. yellow construction hat
2. purple PJ shirt
3. rainbow suspenders
4. Dylan's black with white and green striped athletic shorts
5. LEFT dress shoe on the LEFT foot
6. plyers in top picture
7. pig snout pacifier in left hand (bottom picture)

Splish splash, we were takin' a bath!

"Silly Daddy, I'm not Bozo the clown!"

"Our daddy is SO silly"

Bubbles!

Chillin' out by the pool

We were finally able to use our kiddie swimming pool for swimming and not dancing (see previoius blog post Firsts). This is early evening time just after dinner so this is actually half pool time-half bath time.

What a ham!

They LOVE rubber duckies!

Dylan wants to have just as much water outside the pool as inside.

Relaxing after fun time in the pool.

Blog Updates

We have been complete blog slackers! Here are several posts with hopefully more to follow.

Super Heroes

We couldn't let Dylan be the only super hero in the house. After several of months looking we finally found a super hero outfit worthy enough for our little girl. Here are some pics of them waiting to save the world and of their flying lessons.

Easter

This was the kids' 2nd Easter, but it was the first one they were able to participate in our church's Easter Egg Hung. The night before, Todd and I put several plastic eggs around the living room and "taught" Dylan and Kiera how to collect Easter Eggs. Todd had a lot of strategy involved on how to beat all the other kids to the eggs, I will let him explain that, I just wanted them to collect some and not end up playing with rocks or grass. Speaking of which, when we were allowed to start collecting eggs, Kiera discovered all these rocks around a tree and Dylan of course followed along. These rocks were much more exciting than all the candy filled eggs. We eventually got them to go for the eggs again, but it took a while because we were both laughing too hard! Unfortunately I was not able to get any pictures of all the rocks they collected.

Look at all the rocks, forget the candy!

"Yeah, I'm cute!"

Cute family pic!
